EVA Copolymers Hot Melt Applications

AT Polymers offers Ateva® EVA copolymers with VA levels ranging from 18% to 40%. In 28% EVA copolymers alone, AT Polymers offers a choice of seven different grades.  These differ principally in melt index, ranging from 3.0 to 850. We are also developing new high-flow grades, over 1000 in melt index.  The low melt index grades provide high viscosity, strength, and hot tack.  The high melt index grades are used to obtain high polymer content at low application viscosity. Intermediate melt index grades provide the ability to formulate to differing melt viscosities.  The combination  of a high and low melt index is frequently used to "fine tune" the adhesive viscosity without changing the total polymer content.
